Phen375 or Slim Weight Patch?

Phen375 fat burning pill or Slim Weight diet patches - what will be the most proper choice for effective, fast and risk-free weight losing? Read the article to get the answer.

The applying of trans-dermal patches in medicine is not a new concept, but is highly innovative for an extra fat loss supplement. Patches are great methods to make use of a product which, if taken orally, is likely to cause stomach upset in some consumers. They are also applied as nicotine replacement, long-term birth control and other hormonal issues, and inside the delivery of ache medication.

For example, a physician may easily prescribe the Fentanyl trans-skin patch for narcotic pain treatment for a patient who may nicely forget to take a tablet by mouth or who has troubles swallowing pills. The same principle applies for the Slim Weight Patch.

Jealous Pets: What to Consider Before Making Household Changes

There is a lot to evaluate before expanding your furry-legged family by introducing new pets into the household, from added monetary considerations to more responsibilities and commitment.  Perhaps even greater than those factors is the impact of changing the existing household dynamic – namely, how your current pet will react to a new addition.

Stress and your pet

More than likely, your pet has been fond of being the center of attention, and making room for someone else to share the spotlight will require some extra effort on your part and other family members. Having a plan for the new pet in your home will make the change easier for everyone, while helping to avoid possible conflicts between the animals.

It's Intense and Promises to Kick Your Butt: Would You Try the New "Insanity" Workout?

First clue that this new workout DVD program is going to be a killer: it's name. A 60-day DVD fitness program called Insanity Fitness isn't for wimps. But if you want to bite the bullet, so to speak, here's an option (not for the faint of heart). One fitness blogger tried it and gives her review ...

Oh my goodness, I'm frightened just looking at that photo! But, we all respond to different stimulus and motivation, and lots of people are raving about the effectiveness of Insanity: The Ultimate Cardio Workout and Fitness DVD Program. Since I messed up my abs in a fitness boot camp last summer, I'm too wimpy to check this one out, so I was happy to see that fitness blogger Gina over at The Fitnessista did--and she seems to be loving it so far.

Is Samantha Encouraging Lindsay to Be Super-Skinny?

In today's celeb health news, I bring you another page from the Samantha Ronson-Lindsay Lohan saga. The latest buzz? Some are saying that Sam is a bad influence on Lindsay in the body image department. The young starlet seems to be slimmer than ever, and one source says Sam is the reason. Do you buy it?

****

According to reports, Lindsay is losing weight and some blame Samantha. These reports are totally unsubstantiated (and um, how do these UK celeb gossip sites actually find their sources from across the pond anyway?), but it does make you wonder about how relationships affect our size. Speaking of which, check out this past Vitamin G post (in case you missed it) about what research says about weight gain/loss over the course of a relationship.

Is Milk Bad for Cats?

The notion to feed cats milk has become ingrained in the minds of many pet owners, thanks to the media and pop culture featuring healthy cats lapping up bowls of dairy. However, the truth of matter is that cats actually do not receive any notable health benefits from milk… rather, they may develop adverse effects from it!

Just as holistic health is important for sustainable health in cats, so is proper nutrition. Cats benefit most from a well-balanced diet with foods specially designed for their needs and digestive systems. Kittens’ bodies have the necessary enzymes to digest their mother’s milk. However, with age, this enzyme production slows, leading to most adult cats being considered lactose-intolerant. While cats can tolerate small quantities of milk, the sugars in it will likely cause digestive upset in their delicate systems, leading to stomach troubles such as cramps, gas, and diarrhea.

Have a Daily Dose of Omega-3

What do my dog, horse and husband all have in common -- besides me? All three start the day with a sprinkle of omega-3 in their breakfast bowls. Maybe you do, too.

The animals are sublimely unaware that they consume it (in the form of flaxseed) or why (because of evidence it may ease arthritic aches and pains and put a shine on their coats). But my husband is on to the health benefits. He has a daily, 2-tablespoon, 3,500-milligram dose of ground flaxseed on his granola. He says it has a "nutty" taste.

Cardiologists praise omega-3 fatty acids. Found in fatty fish like salmon and mackerel, as well as in flaxseed, canola oil and walnuts, they protect the heart against inflammation that can result in blocked arteries and can prevent irregular heartbeats that can lead to a sudden heart attack. And there's growing evidence that these polyunsaturated fats avert strokes, reduce inflammation and joint pain from arthritis, and promote brain and vision development in infants. Statistics even link omega-3s to broader health benefits -- for example, they may ward off complications from diabetes. They're being used to treat depression and Alzheimer's disease. Better skin, stronger fingernails and more energy are also possible perks.

Hatchoo! Is Vegetarianism Contagious?

Ever spent some time with a vegetarian and started to feel repulsed by meat? One minute you're craving a burger, the next you're thinking about how adorable cows are and opting for a Boca instead (not that that's a bad thing!). According to Bonnie Taub-Dix, a registered dietician in New York and spokesperson for the American Dietetic Association, vegetarianism can indeed "rub off" on you.

Just like other behaviors that we learn from the people we associate with and admire, says Taub-Dix, eating habits can be contagious. While vegetarianism isn't such a bad thing to "catch," she says the reverse is true: If you spend all your time with a junk-food-aholic there's a good chance you could become one too. Bottom line, says Taub-Dix: "Hang out with people who eat well."

Happiness Flashback: What Did You Used to Call Certain Foods as Kids?

I had a funny flashback yesterday when slicing up an apple. I had somehow completely forgotten that we never called them "apples" in my house. As kids, we called them this goofy name (and tell me what cute family names you had for different foods)...

****

Apples were called "boppies." Funny, huh? And the crazy thing is that as an adult, I still look at them and think "boppies." More embarrassing familia food language:

*Bananas: "ga-nans"

*Chocolate milk: "cockit milk" (we have my brother to thank for this oddball name)

*Waffles: "wahfs"

Now that I'm a mom, we have a whole new language we're developing here. Avocados, for instance, will forever be called "eye-ohs."

Depression Test

It is very important to test depression and identify whether one is suffering from it. This can help you to deal with the condition better and treat it. The following article will tell you about what a depression test is and give you some examples.

Depression is a commonly used term in our daily lives. We say it quite easily to indicate that we are feeling extremely sad, morose, troubled and/or bland. But depression is not merely a 'mood' - like having the blues. Every person feels sad from time to time, but depression is when one feels like that at all times for prolonged periods of time - it is a psychological disorder. It is not physical and therefore, it cannot be seen as a hurt or wound. But there you are wrong. You can identify depression. Depression leaves some telltale signs in its wake, that if carefully studied, will help you identify whether a person is suffering from depression or not. A depression test is used for identifying these depression symptoms. Let us give you a few examples of depression tests, see how they work and also learn about some of the types of questions that are used for depression testing.

Halle Berry: Living with Diabetes

Halle Berry is in the news this week for her new role in the movie 'Shoes Addicts Anonymous'.  When we think of Halle Berry we think of an empowered and successful women who has accomplished an extraordinary amount in her young life.  We also think of a woman who is living with diabetes.

In 1989, during the taping of Living Dolls, a short lived television series, the actress lapsed into a coma and was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.  The American Diabetes Association estimates that 500,000 to 1 million people in the US have this condition.  Type 1 diabetes is a disorder caused by autoimmune distruction of the insulin secreting cells of the pancreas resulting in the body's inability to produce sufficient insulin to meet bodily needs.
